🕉️ A Message from the Board of Directors
Clarifying Recent Anonymous Allegations and Reaffirming Our Commitment to You

Dear Devotees and Temple Community,

It has come to our attention that an anonymous email and set of documents are circulating, containing a series of inflammatory and speculative claims against the current Board of Directors. These materials were submitted to various parties—including, reportedly, the California Attorney General—and threaten to be shared more widely.

Before rumors spread or misinformation takes root, we want to be transparent with you and address this directly.

❌ What’s Being Claimed

A person using the name “Meenakshi ‘Mike’ Raghavan” (not a known Temple member) has alleged a range of Bylaw violations, financial mismanagement, and spiritual misconduct—none of which are supported by verifiable facts.

The documents openly admit much of this is based on rumors “widely circulating in the community,” not evidence.

✅ What’s Actually True

1. No Fiduciary Breach Has Occurred
For the past 25 years, all Temple budgets are reviewed and presented annually. Any member can request access or ask to speak before the Board. No such request has been made by this individual—or anyone else—regarding these concerns.

2. Allegations Are Based on Gossip, Not Facts
Despite the dramatic tone, there is no documented evidence of any misconduct. Statements about Bylaw violations and governance issues are speculative and misleading.

3. Anonymous Complaints Lack Accountability
The complaint is unsigned, hidden behind a pseudonym, and not brought through the appropriate channels. We are always willing to meet with concerned members—but not anonymous accusations made from the shadows.

4. Calls for Legal Action Are Baseless and Misguided
Suggestions like forensic audits, injunctions, or compliance officers are overreaching and unwarranted. Such demands would waste public resources and yield no findings of wrongdoing.

🙏 Our Commitment to You

This Temple is a spiritual sanctuary—not a political arena. The Board consists of volunteers who care deeply about our religious mission and community. We are committed to transparency, fairness, and dharmic values in all that we do.

If anyone has sincere concerns and wishes to speak with us directly, we welcome the opportunity. But we will not be distracted by anonymous smear campaigns. Let us continue building a community based on devotion, mutual respect, and spiritual unity.

The past, current board of directors and Trustees stand united in this response and steadfast in our resolve to never bend to smear campaign or coercion.

With humility and clarity,
The Board of Directors
